Apprenticeship & On-the-Job Learning
Most technicians begin by working alongside an experienced electrician or HVAC technician at Kresge Services, learning the trade through hands-on experience.
Responsibilities: Assisting with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical and HVAC systems; learning safety protocols, tool usage, and troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements: Strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow instructions.
Training Provided: On-the-job mentorship from experienced technicians, OSHA safety training.
Independent Technician
Once a technician gains sufficient experience and confidence, they transition to working independently, handling projects and service calls on their own.
Responsibilities: Diagnosing and repairing system failures, performing installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing customer relations.
Requirements: Practical experience gained through mentorship, knowledge of electrical/HVAC systems, problem-solving skills.
Opportunities for Growth: Technicians may choose to continue working with Kresge Services, build their own client base, or start their own business.
