Assistant Plant Operator

Assistant Plant Operator’s learn the daily operations of the plant under the guidance and supervision of the Shift Supervisors. Performs preventative maintenance to various systems. Trains to become an O&M Technician.

0&M Technician

Performs shift operations during start up and shutdown of equipment. Maintains logs, testing, inspection and trouble shooting as necessary. Implements safe working habits throughout the plant. Studies to become qualified as a Control Room Operator and/or Maintenance Technician

Control Room Operator

The Control Room Operator will monitor & control the operation of the steam plant, power generation, & electrical distribution via a distributive control system. They will optimize and coordinate safe, environmentally sound, day-to-day power plant operation within contractual and budgetary requirements in compliance with all permits and regulations.

Shift Supervisor

Shift Supervisors oversee plant operations to ensure peak performance, safety and efficiency. This includes but is not limited to lockout/tagout procedures, alarm response and managing the shutdown and startup processes. Shift Supervisors oversee inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations as well as management of direct reports.

Operations Manager

The Assistant Operations Manager will optimize and coordinate safe, environmentally sound, day-to-day power plant operation within contractual and budgetary requirements in compliance with all permits and regulations.

Maintenance Technician:

The person holding this position is responsible for maintaining the plant in good repair, troubleshooting plant problems, and developing plant technical expertise. He/she is also responsible for assisting with maintaining the plant inventory, ordering spare parts, implementing modifications to plant equipment, writing specific maintenance procedures, interacting with vendors, and planning maintenance outages. $30-$35/hr. DOE

E&l Technician:

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician performs a variety of electrical, instrument, and controls maintenance activities within the context of normal total task repairs and preventive maintenance. $35-$45/hr. DOE

Fuel Handler:

The person holding this position operates heavy mobile equipment to perform a variety of tasks to support mining, processing, and ash placement operations at the plant site. Under direct supervision of the Site Supervisor or Facility Manager, the employee will be assigned to operate mobile equipment typically found at a surface mine. Typical equipment includes but is not limited to a: bulldozer; off-road haul truck; articulated haul truck; water truck; front end loader; grader; excavator; screenplants; backhoe/IT; and / or skidsteer. Occasionally the employee will assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs to the mobile equipment and or processing plants. $25-$30/hr.
